TRANSFER OF POWER AND GOVERNMENT.

BeReadyTheBeginningOfTheEnd

We need some learning at the feet of God on transfer and stewardship of power.

First and foremost power belongs to God and God alone.

Next some illustrative lessons:

Moses to Joshua.
Elijah to Elisha.
David to Solomon.
Lord Jesus to Apostles.

If we are ordained of God to accomplish a divinely purposed mission in the divinely created and administered universe of men and women, then we ought to follow the scriptural principles and examine the examples there in.

Lord Jesus was closeted with the Apostles in the upper room prior to His Gethsemane and Golgotha experience and being readied to return to the Father.
Read John’s gospel 13- 17.
Post resurrection the same Lord handed over His continuing mission on earth to the same band of men. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshipped Him; but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
“All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth,
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

These are the men concerning whom their persecutors said:
These are men who have been with Jesus.
These are men who have turned the world upside down.

Two thousand years, the work which the Lord began continues.
He said: I will build My church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Apostle Paul, once the enemy of the gospel, number one religious terrorist passed on the stewardship of the gospel and teaching the Scripture to young men like Timothy and Titus.
Stewardship of mission calls for:
Humility and Honour, Grace and Glory.
Mercy and Truth, Peace and Righteousness.
Faith, Hope and Love.

THIS IS THE RIGHT RECIPE FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE.
